Tales of symphonia colette wings5/16/2023 More context, Colette starts the game off as “The Chosen”. However in more mature hindsight Colette is a actually a really selfless person who just want to do the best for the world, putting the needs of the many above the needs of the few, as well as developing as a character to recognise…. Raine’s concept art and Raine from the Animation… Bias Much? Yes I am! Yet she has no figure of Raine yet Hint Hint… Now it’s not that I’m bitter, but Kotobukiya and Alter /ALTAiR, why you would make a figure of here where there are way cooler characters from Tales of Symphonia? Take for instance Raine (Refill), TOS’s resident “Staff Chick”, not only is she very Smart holding the title of “Professor”, she is a strong Independent Women and a total deconstruction of the aforementioned trope, logically refusing to heal enemies when guess what it made no logical extent and spanking her kid brother. This lead to her rubbing me the wrong way through-out the game by appearing seemingly as weak character with no self-esteem, every second word coming out of her mouth was “I’m sorry”, as well as been overly clumsy, falling over repeatedly and appearing pretty helpless or clueless in many situations, holding people back. Putting on my 2004 Nostalgia goggles, I felt as a whole Colette’s presence somewhat detracted from the gaming experience as she was way different from what my expectation of a main supporting female character should be. It only had one problem, see below.Ībove: Colette’s In game appearance in when she is "Normal mode" in the original Game cube Game. blog/2410&b.įor the Record Tales of Symphonic (TOS) is my favourite game ever, Why is it my favourite? Well the main two are at the time I had hardly touched a JRPG before and was just getting into anime at the time honestly a match made in heaven at the time. However as figure review Colette is assessed seriously against this guide with as much honestly as I can. Now a quick disclaimer, as this is a 1st of April, (in America), so it is written with having a laugh here and there in the form of satire in mind. She also stars in its sequel “Dawn of the new World” as well as the Tales of Symphonia OVA. Now the next “Chosen one” is Colette Brunel, from My Chosen Number One game of all time Tales of Symphonia. Well since it was April the 1st and I haven’t acquired many additional figures this year, so I thought it is only justified to review one released two years ago. If you don’t want spoilers play the game and then come read, and if you really, really like Colette probably best not to read. As well as a mild ad hominem attack against the character of Colette as quite frankly I didn’t like her very much. Me and friends tried to have them like backpack straps, and they just turned sideways and i internally panicked.Disclosure: This review contains slight spoilers from Tales of Symphonia so you should go play the game. Only regret, i should of done more harness research and not 3 days before the con. To get the size I laid down on a big old cardboard box and traced around me, then sketched out the general shape (went with the ingame model vs the cutscene animation since it seemed sturdier?), refined it on tracing paper a couple times, got a heavy gage wire, bend them all seperatly into shape, covered them with iradescent cellophane, sealed the edges with a candle (on my porch cause i didnt trust myself with a lighter), then painstakingly got them all to stay together. Except a lot of them were made for corsets and i kinda had to take bits and pieces of different methods from youtube tutorials. I did a lot of research on different types of cosplay wings, and the closest thing i could find was cellophane butterfly wings. Short answer for the wings: wire, sodering iron, cellophane, spray glue, and candles. Thank you! And i feel you on the time crunch, but there's always the next time!
